According to a Twitter announcement from “The View”, actress, comedian and talk show host Rosie O’Donnell will be returning to the show this fall. O’Donnell previously served as one of the show’s hosts during a nine-month stint on the 2006-2007 season.

While O’Donnell hasn’t officially responded to the report — she’s vacationing with her family in Florida — she did retweet a link to a story by Variety announcing her return.

O’Donnell’s prior engagement on the morning talk show was during its 10th season, one during which she often was at odds with conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck who now works for the Fox News Channel as a co-host on “Fox and Friends.”

Hasselbeck broke from her own vacation to call in to Fox to express her displeasure with O’Donnell’s return, calling her former co-host someone who had “”spit on the face of military” and “spit in the face of her own network.”

Following the retirement of Barbara Walters last May and with both Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd slated to depart “The View” this summer, ABC still has two more seats to fill alongside O’Donnell and returning host Whoopi Goldberg.

Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors Fund announced Monday the 3rd annual Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays benefit concert on Saturday, December 7 at New York City’s historic Beacon Theatre to help raise awareness about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth homelessness and funds for the organization’s Forty to None Project.

Cyndi Lauper will be joined on stage this year by P!nk, Josh Groban, Susan Sarandon, Nelly Furtado, the Indigo Girls, Rosie O’Donnell, Ingrid Michaelson, The Hives, Matt & Kim, Hunter Valentine, The Cliks, and returning host Carson Kressley. Additional guests will be announced soon. Tickets will be available at Ticketmaster.com starting Friday, October 25.

“Fame is a road full of land mines, and every four feet you risk getting blown up,” professed Rosie O’Donnell. She was speaking about Miley Cyrus and her widely-criticized performance at this year’s MTV’s Video Music Awards, but also describing her own battle scars as an outspoken celebrity. The actress and comedian is ecstatic to be going back to television, taking a role in executive producer Jennifer Lopez’s ABC Family hit “The Fosters” beginning in January. Having had a bit of a breather to tend to her health — she suffered a heart attack last October — she’s also as opinionated as ever, weighing in on gun violence, a boycott of the Olympics in Russia, Britney Spears and Cyrus, Pope Francis, gay marriage and Boy George’s new makeover.

“My 10-year-old daughter Vivi loves the show,” O’Donnell said in an interview with me on SiriusXM Progress, regarding “The Fosters,” which focuses on a multiethnic lesbian couple with both biological and foster children.  “She’s a big fan of that whole network, ABC Family. And consequently I’ve been watching nearly all the shows on there. But once I saw that one, I was really touched by it and I realized that [actor] Peter Paige, who I know from when I did ‘Queer as Folk,’ is [an] executive producer. So I tweeted about it and texted him congratulations. And, the lovely, lovely guy that he is, he said, ‘Would you be willing to do a recurring arc on the show?’ And I said, ‘Totally.’ So, I’m very excited.”

Rosie O’Donnell became a mother for the fifth time on Tuesday.

The former “Queen of Nice” tweeted a picture of herself and wife Michelle Rounds with the newest addition to the family, daughter Dakota. With the picture, O’Donnell wrote:

“we r thrilled to announce the arrival of r daughter Dakota – #withloveandthanks – AMEN.”

Howard Stern may want Rosie O’Donnell next to him on the “America’s Got Talent” panel, but NBC said there are no plans for that happening. According to Deadline.com, NBC is not in talks with O’Donnell and there are no plans for her to be a judge on the upcoming season of the talent competition.

The Huffington Post first reported Stern’s desires to have O’Donnell as an “AGT” judge on December 17. “Rosie and Howard have had a tough past but now they are great friends,” a friend of Stern’s told The Huffington Post. “He thinks she is a great talent and will bring a new energy to that show.”

Rosie O’Donnell opened up about her recent heart attack in a new interview with People magazine published Friday.

O’Donnell suffered a heart attack in August, which she revealed in a blog post on her site. At the time, she said that she felt “nauseous” and vomited after helping a woman out of her car, and was told by a cardiologist the next day that she had in fact experienced a heart attack.

Rosie O’Donnell has tied the knot.

People magazine reports that the 50-year-old O’Donnell tied the knot with fiancee Michelle Rounds in a private June 9 ceremony. O’Donnell’s rep Cindi Berger told the magazine that although they originally had planned to wed in August, they opted to move the ceremony ahead of Rounds’ first surgery since being diagnosed with desmoid tumors, a rare disease that only affects three out of every million people.
