Betty DeGeneres (Ellen’s Mom) narrates this timely and powerful documentary about same-sex marriage (with a new 2012 introduction by Zach Wahls, author of “My Two Moms”). “I Can’t Marry You” explores same-sex marriage issues through the personal experiences of twenty gay and lesbian couples who have been in long-term relationships of 10-55-plus years.

This inspiring, information-packed film will tell you everything you need to know about this vitally important topic. Included are pertinent facts and information from such top specialists as renowned civil rights attorney Evan Wolfson of Freedom to Marry (the leading national marriage equality organization) and John J. McNeill, author of “The Church and the Homosexual.”

Until the right of civil marriage is extended to same-sex couples in the United States, gays and lesbians will continue to be denied over 1000 rights, benefits and equal protection under the law.

For many of us right now, the thought of celebrating anything is unfathomable. We contemplated how best to approach our film’s world premiere, while recognizing and honoring the time we’re living in, and realized that making space to tell queer stories is in itself an act of resistance. Sharing the story of a visionary and unapologetic celebration of lesbian life is an act of resistance. Our movement was forged in joy and struggle — as queer people, our very existence is resistance – let’s use our joy as a powerful and nourishing tool to fuel our fight. Being together with our community for this night of celebration will energize us to keep doing the work that needs to be done. TICKETS.

We’re excited to announce that tickets for the World Premiere of AHEAD OF THE CURVE at the Drive-In are on sale now. Taking place on Saturday, June 27th at the West Wind Solano Drive-In Theater in Concord, CA, as part of the Frameline44 Pride Showcase, a limited block of tickets are available now at Frameline.org. ‘Out to Win’ explores lives of LGBT athletes

“Out to Win” is a documentary film that serves as an overview and examination of lives and careers of aspiring and professional gay and lesbian athletes from all over the world. Chronicling the present, framed within a historical context of those that came before, this film highlights the experiences of athletes who have fought and struggled, both in and out of the closet, to represent the LGBT community and their true selves. This film is told through the voices of pioneers, present day heroes, tomorrow’s superstars and the people who’ve helped them succeed. Featuring interviews with trailblazers including Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King, Jason Collins, Brittney Griner and more.

“Out to Win” premieres at SXSW 2015 on Sunday, March 15, at 7pm at the Stateside Theatre in Austin, Texas.

Shhh, ‘Free for All’ looks at wildside of the library

“Free for All: Inside the Public Library” promises to be a rollicking ride through the most unlikely of places: the public library, where America’s diversity streams indoors and serendipity and democracy happen.

Help complete filming for this important documentary by donating its Kickstarter campaign. While critical decisions about the future of our libraries are being debated in communities around the country, this documentary is extremely timely.
