Enjoy a fun and sexy lesbian romp on a tour through the streets of San Francisco as slacker photographer Lola (Ashleigh Sumner) races to get to a crucial meeting on time.

As usual, Lola is running late. But today, everything is on the line: Her job and her girlfriend Casey (Jill Bennett). In “Run, Lola, Run” fashion, Lola has three chances to make it right.

Is Casey falling into the arms of her ex?! Will Lola make it in time? Will she come at all? Bursting with creativity and fresh cinematic style “And Then Came Lola” is full of everything you want in a lesbian movie: Beautiful women, a great script, high-quality production values, hot new music, animation, hilarious laugh-out-loud reflections on lesbian life and one of the most enigmatic new lesbian characters we’ve seen in years, Lola, played by the irresistible Ashleigh Sumner.

A native of rural Indiana, Jill Bennett began her acting career at 16. A short two years later, she’d won a state speech title and matriculated to Bradley University on a theater scholarship.

From there, Bennett first gained notoriety for her role in the action feature “In Her Line of Fire” in which she starred alongside Mariel Hemingway. Since that debut, she has starred in 10 films, including indie hits “X’s and O’s” and “The Pleasure Drivers;” she became a series regular on five separate occasions, perhaps most notably with Here TV’s “Dante’s Cove;” and she guest-starred on several more series, including Logo’s “Rick & Steve.” Jill has recently gone on to co-executive produce and star in two award-winning series of her own: “We Have to Stop Now” and “Second Shot.”

Bennett will soon be traveling to Costa Rica with her new media collective group, The GZBZ (The Girlz and Boyz). The Costa Rica trip is part of an International LGBT Volunteer Vacations and People-to-People Program, an effort which aims to send LGBT citizen ambassadors to countries on five continents, including Costa Rica, Italy, Greece, Peru and more, offering LGBT tourists an opportunity to promote tolerance and understanding around the world as they enjoy an unconventional vacation.

The second season of Bennett’s “Breaking Fat” web series is set to air this summer and you can expect more new projects from The GZBZ later in 2014.

I was able to get Bennett to play along with our Fast 5 before she packed her bags for Costa Rica.

1. Do you have a hidden talent? Do tell!

I can read body language like a pro.

2. Lady Gaga or Madonna?

Lady Gaga. Madonna blew it for me about 8 years ago when I paid $400 to see her in concert and she refused to give us one encore.

3. If they started offering free trips to the moon tomorrow, would you sign up to go?

Yes! I wanted to be an astronaut when I was a kid!

4. Tell us one thing about you that most people probably don’t know, but you’re willing to share.

I had to go to the school nurse to have a green skittle dislodged from my nose. (One of the dangers of being the class clown.)

5. If you had to give up one of the following for an entire year, which would you choose to live without: cell phone, television, hair products or chocolate?

Hair products. I don’t use many now, and chocolate is non-negotiable.

**WARNING! Not intended for viewers under 18**

“Breaking Fat” is a new web series — and in the first few moments of the series, there’s an appearance by lesbian favorite, Jill Bennett!

Synopsis provided by “Breaking Fat” YouTube channel:

“Becca (Katherine Vanderlinden), Kibblets (Lindsay Hollister) and Sunshine (Rakafet Abergel) are squatters at Becca’s parents house. Blame the economy. Blame their parenting. Blame the meth addiction. When obtaining the drug becomes increasingly more difficult, every seller assumes they are undercover cops, the girls come up with the brilliant idea to cut out the middle man. Turning to the penny saver, they procure someone to cook the drug for them. Enter a brillant, yet quirky, gentleman who goes by the street name “Hindenburg” (Brian Houtz). As they descend into the jiggly dark underbelly of the drug world, they soon find themselves faced with the hard reality of prison after two hardcore, not by the book, detectives bust their dealings.”

Also Starring:
Sarah Hagan, Hutch Dano, David Krumholtz and Jill Bennett.

JILL BENNETT ONLINE

We are 27 days from the election, and the political posts are flying. Everyone has an opinion, and is entitled to it — this is America after all, and I support your right to express yourself. However, please understand that I may take it personally. Very personally. And I will lay out why in a minute.

This whole thing began after reading a post on my good friend (and amazing actress to boot) Maeve Quinlan’s Facebook wall. An actress friend of hers, Stacey Dash, came out in support of Mitt Romney and was promptly attacked online. Horribly attacked. The comments were mostly racially motivated, there were even death threats. The ladies of “The View” discussed the whole incident as well. Some (including Maeve) framed their argument around Stacey’s right to free speech. But for the most part, no one was arguing that she didn’t have the right to express her views, they were responding to her choice. And yes, the response wasn’t civilized, nor was it constructive … but it was a response.

Growing up in rural Indiana, Jill Bennett didn’t start acting until the age of 16. By 18, she had won a state speech title and attended Bradley University on a theatre scholarship.

Jill first gained notoriety when she starred in the action flick “In Her Line of Fire,” alongside Mariel Hemingway. Since then, she’s become a series regular on Here TV’s “Dante’s Cove,” guest starred on Logo’s “Rick and Steve,” and co-executive produced and starred in her own award winning series “We Have To Stop Now.”

Not contented with traditional media, Jill co-starred in the hit web series “3Way” and the popular Afterellen video blog “We’re Getting Nowhere,” which lead to a television development deal with Logo.

She created two other popular video blogs, and her current vlog, “The Gloves Are Off,” is hosted at WeHaveToStopNow.tv.

She was nominated in four categories and won two audience choice awards at Logo’s New Now Next Awards, was voted Shewired’s Woman of the Year and Autostraddle’s Celesbian of the Year. This year, three of her projects won Curve Magazine Awards, and she was nominated in four separate categories.

Jill also starred in the popular lesbian film “And Then Came Lola” and lists “Kissing Jessica Stein” and “Bound” as her favorite lesbian flicks.
