Mary Lambert announced that she will hit the road as a special guest (along with Andrew McMahon) on Gavin DeGraw and Matt Nathanson’s North American summer tour.

The Seattle-based singer-songwriter has been lighting up the airwaves at Adult Top 40 stations nationwide with her single “She Keeps Me Warm,” which has climbed into the Top 20 and continues to ascend. The track is featured on her debut EP, “Welcome To The Age Of My Body,” which was released in December and has earned her rave reviews. Lambert has performed “She Keeps Me Warm” on “Good Morning America,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Queen Latifah Show” and Elvis Duran’s Morning Show on New York’s Z100.

In addition, Lambert was nominated for two 2014 Grammy Awards for “Song of the Year” and “Album of The Year” for writing and singing the hook on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ double-platinum-selling marriage equality anthem “Same Love.” She also made history by performing “Same Love” on the Grammy telecast with Macklemore, Lewis, and Madonna, while Queen Latifah memorably married 33 couples.

Inspired by confessional folk singers as well as spoken-word poets, Lambert is a fearless and candid writer, who empowers both herself and her listeners in her songs, which showcase her ethereal, lilting voice and soul-baring lyricism. She is currently at work on a debut full-length album, produced by Eric Rosse (Tori Amos, Sara Bareilles), which Capitol Records will release later this summer.

This year’s Grammy Awards came to a monumental close when Macklemore and Ryan Lewis performed equality anthem “Same Love” before thirty-three couples were married in a mass wedding ceremony— including gay, straight, and transgender individuals—officiated by Queen Latifah. Macklemore started things off by taking the stage with Lewis, Trombone Shorty, and songstress Mary Lambert, who contributes the female vocal melody to the hit.

After Queen Latifah officiated, Madonna then joined those on stage to sing some of her 1986 hit “Open Your Heart.” Aside from the memorable performance, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis had an incredible night, taking home four Grammy awards.

Madonna’s newly confirmed performance at Sunday’s Grammy Awards will find the singer teaming with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis on the duo’s 2012 anthem “Same Love,” sources reportedly tell Us Weekly.

Word spread last weekend that Madonna would likely provide supporting vocals during a performance of one of the nominated songs, and now it appears she’ll take her same-sex activism to the Grammy stage. Us Weekly does not address how Madonna’s portion of the performance will complement that of featured artist Mary Lambert, who tweeted on Friday that she was in rehearsals for the telecast.

No one person can be the perfect minority or ally, or write the perfect song, or know every single thing there is to know about the history of the world and being queer. I’m a big proponent of looking at things with a critical lens, but when it gets to the point where you feel like you literally can’t like anything without feeling like a bad queer, we need to think about the battles we choose. Because if people are trying to make the world better, why in the world would we get down on them about it? Why can’t we love Macklemore AND Mary Lambert? I do, and I feel grateful for both of them.

On July 17, the hit music video “Same Love” was nominated for the MTV Music Video Awards as “Best Video With a Social Message.” The song achieved platinum status and has become something of a gay-rights anthem, making rapper and music artist Macklemore a household name.

But much less is known about Mary Lambert, a key collaborator and vocalist for the song’s notorious chorus. Lambert’s emotionally charged lyrics such as “I can’t change—even if I tried, even if I wanted to” and “not crying on Sundays” have immortalized the song, infusing it with soul and a lending a sense of intimacy to its subject.
